The Deuter Aircontact Lite 65+10 pairs a ventilated Aircontact back system with a VariFlex hipfin hipbelt that swings independently of the main frame — the hipfin pivots with your gait cycle so the pack pedulates rather than swivels against a rigid shelf when you step over a root. The Aircontact back panel is a channel-foam contact system rather than a mesh trampoline, which gives the warmth of foam contact in cold weather and the frame stiffness to carry a real mountaineering kit without folding. At 4 lb 5 oz it is heavier than the Atmos AG but lighter than the Baltoro and covers the 65 + 10L extension collar that opens for an oversize top-load without unpacking the lid. The frame extends four inches to fit torso lengths from 16 to 24 inches and the SL women's variant runs the same suspension geometry on a shorter torso range.
